Summary

The project has successfully addressed the potential for renewable energy development in Libya by leveraging its unique geographical, geopolitical, historical, and economic characteristics. It implemented a transformative shift in energy usage, focusing on efficiency, equity, and sustainability across social, economic, and environmental dimensions. Through the creation of an innovative educational platform, including a Master’s program in Renewable and Sustainable Energy, pilot programs in partner universities, and open-access courses for citizens, the project has advanced capacity building and promoted a systemic understanding of the global energy challenge in Libya.
