Summary

The JISER-MED project aimed to act as a bridge between Europe and its Mediterranean neighbors in the Higher Education and Research Area. It promoted mutual understanding and long-term partnerships by improving services for Mediterranean students in European Higher Education, enhancing the international dimension of quality assurance, strengthening relations between European Higher Education and Research, contributing to interdisciplinary policy debates, and ensuring the sustainability of joint actions in Higher Education and Research. The project targeted collective Higher Education and Research actors in the EU and the Mediterranean region, facilitating active participation and collaboration among stakeholders. Key outputs included surveys, comparison studies, research papers, roundtables, forums, workshops, seminars, and a dynamic website portal. The project’s networks aimed to extend its impact beyond the funding period, fostering continued dialogue and collaboration towards the creation of a EUROMEDITERRANEAN Common Area in Higher Education and Research.
